Thursday 4th April - walk *** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny periods.

I had one eye on the wind today for another windsurf but it meant another go on the fin board as I am not getting my replacement foil until tomorrow and after yesterday bumpy/gusty session I was not filled with glee but with low water not until 2.30 I had plenty of time to think about it! So I had loads of time to do my exercises, it was nice when the sun came out but there was lots of cloud and it looked promising for a sail with a sw gusting over 20 knots! I finished my exercises at 11 so Mag and I decided to go out for a walk, just down to the seafront. The sun was out and it was lovely as the wind was off maybe wsw so it knocked windsurfing on the head. We started off doing a circuit of the pier and people were actually having ago on the radio controlled boats which the pool made for it really restricts access to the view down the coast, me thinks it was a complete waste of money:( Then back onto the prom and headed towards The Fludyers with the wind on our backs, it was quite pleasant even when we had a brief spell of rain! We then continued to Jacobs Ladder where Mag had a few messages on her phone so I walked along the beach to the first steps collecting a little coal! Then we headed back as the sun disappeared behind clouds with the wind now in our face we turned into the spa gardens for a little shelter, we even spotted a rabbit nibbling roses in the rose garden, never seen that before! At The Spa Theatre we took the sloop up to the pram walk, along the cliff top and home for dinner as the wind drops light!
